Chickpea Pakode




Chickpea popularly known as "Kabuli chana". The name "chickpea" traces back through the French chiche to cicer, Latin for 'chickpea'. Chickpeas are a nutrient-dense food, providing rich content of protein, dietary fibre, folate, and certain dietary minerals such as iron and phosphorus. Chickpeas good for daily iron need for body. You can store dried chickpeas in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place where they can last for up to twelve months.

Ingredients:-

Chickpeas - 2 cup (boiled)
Onion - 1-2
Green Chilli - 1
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1tbsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Roasted Cumin Powder - 1tbsp
Corinder Leaves - 1/2 cup (Chopped)
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup (Chopped)
Gram Flour - 1/2 cup
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt

Procedure:-
  • Take chickpea and blend them in mixer or in blender and make paste.
  • Take chickpea paste in bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, green chilies, green coriander, mint, cumin powder, red chili, onion, garlic paste and salt to mix by hand and make pakoda batter.
  • Heat oil in pan and deep fry the mixture in pakoda shape.
  • When pakodas become golden brown take them out from pan and put on absorbent paper.
  • Now serve pakodas with green chutney and tomato sauce.
