Creamy Malai Kofta


Ingrediants:

For Koftas:
Paneer-1 cup grated (If you don't have time to go market for buying panner made it home.Take milk and citric acid or lemon juice . Boil milk when milk boiled add citric acid and boil for 2-3 min minute and drain this and remove whole water from it. Panner is ready.)
Potato-1 cup boiled and mashed
Green chilli-1 chopped finely
Coriander leaves-1/4 cup chopped
Garam masala powder-1 tbsp
Coriander powder-2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Corn flour-1 cup
Oil for deep frying

For Gravy:
Onion-4-5 sliced
Tomatoes-3 chopped
Green chilli-1 chopped finely
Ginger-1 inch piece
Garlic-6 cloves
Cashew-3 tbsp (Soaked in milk)
Poppy Seeeds (Khus Khus)-3 tbsp (Soaked in milk with cashew)
Red chilli powder-1.5 tsp
Coriander powder -2 tblspn
Garam masala powder-1 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
Milk-1 cup
Curd- ½ cup
Coriander leaves / Cilantro-for garnishing
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tbsp
Oil-3 tbsp

Proceduer for making Koftas:

  • In a mixing bowl add all ingredients given for koftas except oil.
  • Mix well and divide into equal portions and form into balls.
  • Coat the balls with cornflour and deep fry in oil till golden.Drain and set aside.
Procedure for making Gravy:

  • In a frying pan drizzle 1 tbsp of oil..Add in garlic,ginger,onions and cook till golden.
  • Add in Red chilli and coriander powder and mix well.Add in tomatoes,Green chilies and give it a stir.
  • Let this cool down...Now grind it with cashew and poppy seeds into a smooth paste.
  • Now heat 2 tbsp of oil in the same kadai and add cumin seeds and allow it to splatter.
  • Add in the ground paste and cook till oil separates from this.Add in curd and milk and mix well.
  • Add in sugar and garam masala powder and mix well.Bring this to boil and simmer for 3 mins.
  • Add the koftas and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve immediately with chapatties.
