Simple and Easy Vermicelli Chowmin





Ingredients :

Vermicelli - 1 cup
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Capsicum - 1
Black Pepper - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1tbsp
Salt- To Taste
Tomato Sauce - 1/4 cup
Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - 1tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Butter - 1/4 cup


Procedure - 

  • Roast vermicelli in a pan on medium flame until it turns light brown. Cooking time may be varying according to size and thickness of your pan. Keep stirring continuously. When done, keep roasted vermicelli aside to cool.
  • Heat oil in same pan. Add butter. Add sliced onion, tomato,capsicum. Sauté until onion becomes translucent.
  • Add black pepper , red chilli powder, tomato sauce , soya sauce. Sprinkle salt over it and mix well.
  • Add 1 and 1/2 cups water and let it boil for a minute.
  • Add roasted vermicelli. And mix well and cover it with lid.
  • Cook until water is absorbed for around 10-15 minutes. Stir in between occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Turn off flame and transfer vermicelli chowmin to a serving dish. and serve.
